“This group has given me hope. It’s brought light into the darkest places of my grief. And most importantly, it has reminded me that I am not alone.”

Mindy
“I was hesitant to join a grief group—I hadn’t lost a person (yet), and I wasn’t sure I’d belong. But this space welcomed every kind of heartbreak, with zero judgment. It was tender, irreverent, smart, trauma-informed, and soulful. I laughed. I cried. I swore. I learned to stay present to my grief."

Conan
“This group is raw and real, never sugarcoated, but always safe. It’s honest and deep, yet sprinkled with humor and humanity in a way that reminds me grief and joy can coexist.”

"For the first time in my grief journey, I feel seen and understood. I’ve made connections that have extended far beyond the writing group—into friendships and support that continue to carry me. This group has given me hope. "

Hi, we're Albert + Jason,
Your Guides for
Writing With Grief
We believe that grief can be one of the most powerfully transformational experiences in life, if only it is tended with intention, attention, and support.
In fact we don't just believe it - we know it. Each of us have navigated our own perilous (and beautiful) journey with grief and we've discovered, in no uncertain terms, that it can be a teacher, a friend, and a gift.
That's why we created Writing with Grief. It's a place where grief is transformed through the power of story telling and connection.
And it works. Read the testimonials throughout this page. People are transforming. Will you be next?

“This group was a lifeline. I came in feeling shattered and numb. But the writing prompts and weekly circles cracked something open in me—in the best way. Grief didn’t disappear, but it became something I could walk with. I’ve started laughing again. Living again.”

You’re not broken.
You’re breaking open.
Whether it's the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a dream that didn’t make it, or the quiet ache of a life that turned out differently than you expected—grief has many names and many faces.
Writing with Grief is a 6-week live, online experience of transformation. A place where pain becomes poetry, sorrow becomes signal, and grief becomes the ground from which something brave and beautiful can grow.
Whether you’ve lost a person, a relationship, a dream, or a version of yourself…
This is for you.
(This is not a sales call. It's a chance to meet 1:1, share your story, and see if Writing with Grief is the right fit for you. )

"Before joining Writing With Grief, I had tried therapy, counseling, and traditional grief support spaces. While each offered something, nothing truly cracked open what I was holding inside. Then I found this group—and something shifted."

Grief changes you
The question is — will it harden you, numb you, leave you stuck in a version of yourself you no longer recognize?
Or will you let it break you open — into a wiser, deeper, more fiercely alive version of who you came here to be?
Unprocessed grief doesn’t go away.
It calcifies. It gets inherited. It shows up in your relationships, your body, your burnout.
This is the work of learning to live with loss — not by shrinking from it, but by letting it shape you into someone more honest, more human, more whole.
This is a place to bring what you’ve been carrying. To stop surviving and start telling the truth. To write your way into a new relationship with your loss — and with your life.

You Don't Need to be Ready.
You Just Need to be Willing.
The Journey Begins May 29th | Cart Closes May 28th at Midnight
Every participant who has entered this space started by saying, "I cannot imagine my grief ever feeling like a friend or teacher." And every single one of them reported by the end that they understood, for the first time in their lives, that there are gifts in grief.

“The way Albert and Jason held space made me feel safe in a way I hadn’t felt before. Not fixed. Not analyzed. Just gently witnessed.”

This is a Place to Transform
Grief doesn’t just break your heart — it breaks your story.
This space is where you begin to pick up the pieces.
Not to put it all back the way it was, but to shape something true from what’s been lost.
You’ll stop surviving grief and start listening to it.
You’ll stop asking “When will this end?” and start asking “What is this asking of me?”
This is where grief becomes a portal.
Into softness.
Into strength.
Into a more honest version of who you are becoming.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this for?
This is for anyone carrying grief — from death, divorce, illness, identity shifts, breakups, or the slow ache of dreams deferred. You do not need to identify as a writer. You just need a willingness to be honest on the page.
What if I’m not “good” at writing?
Perfect. This isn’t about writing well — it’s about writing true. No grammar policing. No gold stars. Just a space to explore and express what’s real for you.
What if I can’t make all the live calls?
You’ll get access to all call recordings within 24 hours. That said, we recommend attending live if you can — the shared energy of the group is part of what makes this experience so powerful.
How much time should I set aside each week?
The live calls are 90 minutes. You’ll also receive optional writing prompts between sessions — you can spend as much or as little time with those as you like. Some folks write for 10 minutes a day. Others block out a few hours a week. The purpose is to create enough of a "container" to allow your grief to move, without it being just another "project" on your to-do list.
Will I have to share what I write?
Nope. Sharing is always optional. You’ll never be put on the spot. That said, many participants find that reading their words aloud — or hearing others do so — creates a sense of connection that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Are there schoarships available?
Yes. Please email albert@albertstrasser.com to inquire.
